Martha Walsh

Martha Walsh

Communications Director

Martha has a decade of experience in financial and corporate communications and has led financial PR strategies for companies across a range of sectors and through a variety of capital markets challenges. Martha joined the communications industry after an early career in finance, working in corporate banking and corporate finance, before the credit crunch and subsequent financial crisis took the fun out of crunching spreadsheets for 15 hours a day.

After relocating to Edinburgh in 2017, Martha worked for strategic communications consultancy Charlotte Street Partners before joining Project Heather in 2019. Having worked in and around capital markets her whole career, she is excited to help shape a stock exchange for the 21st century which places responsible capitalism at the heart of finance and society.

Martha is a trustee of Changing the Chemistry, the charity aiming to increase diversity on all kinds of boards. She enjoys rowing, cycling, and is one day going to re-gain some of her childhood French Horn playing skills.

Alexa Storrier

Alexa Storrier

Director of People

Alexa brings several years experience of working in different sectors, including financial services, technology and manufacturing and being part of rapidly scaling and changing organisations, making sure that the employee experience, policies and practices are aligned with the commercial drivers.
Passionate about connecting employees with the purpose of the organisation, Alexa is excited about the opportunity to create the culture, along with the rest of the Project Heather team, from day one.

Whenever she’s able to fit it in amongst after school activity logistics, Alexa enjoys running and HIIT/circuit classes and has recently convinced herself of the benefits of yoga as a contrast to the high intensity exercise and has discovered she actually quite enjoys it, much to her surprise
