Martha Walsh

Martha Walsh

Director of Communications

Martha has a decade of experience in financial and corporate communications and has led financial PR strategies for companies across a range of sectors and through a variety of capital markets challenges. Martha joined the communications industry after an early career in finance, working in corporate banking and corporate finance, before the credit crunch and subsequent financial crisis took the fun out of crunching spreadsheets for 15 hours a day.

After relocating to Edinburgh in 2017, Martha worked for strategic communications consultancy Charlotte Street Partners before joining Project Heather in 2019. Having worked in and around capital markets her whole career, she is excited to help shape a stock exchange for the 21st century which places responsible capitalism at the heart of finance and society.

Martha is a trustee of Changing the Chemistry, the charity aiming to increase diversity on all kinds of boards. She enjoys rowing, cycling, and is one day going to re-gain some of her childhood French Horn playing skills.
